The second match of Diamond League 2026 in China was held in Xiamen, China on May 23, 2026.
Some incredible performances, two that made history in Xiamen, shocked us a bit. So here are my top five performances from Xiamen.
- Masay Russell, The Olympic champion knows how to deliver. Last week in Shanghai, Masai won the 100m hurdles in 12.25 minutes. At Xiamen, he runs a 12.14 AR, the second-fastest time EVER, just a bit behind Toby Amusan’s 12.12 WR. What will he do next? His 100m hurdles was both aggressive and almost flawless.

Ian threw 71.74m, the second fastest in javelin history, behind only Barbora Spotakova’s world record of 72.28m. Javelin is one of the most iconic events in our sport. Such a throw would send ripples through the culture of female spearmen.

Marta Gorczynska for Diamond League AG - Sherika Jackson fit and fit. He is also quite confident after the 200m world record and victory in Xiamen. Sherikka’s win in Xiamen was a similar improvement on the Shanghai run with that excellent 21.87 MR and WL. His exit from the turn just blew the field away. Shout out to Shauna Miller-Whebo who had a great stretch run to finish second.

Colleen Cabinetship, Botswana won the gold medal at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo. In Xiamen, Collen moved well around the oval, running 43.92 for the full circuit, and continues to impress after his pre-season 10-second 100m (9.89). Collen should never be underestimated again.

Alison Dos Santos came out hard and just stopped charging hard Karsten Warholm, With dos Santos, WR leads 46.72 to Warholm’s 46.82. Dos Santos’ ban continues, but so does Warholm. Check out this event in July.

Ryan Krauser placed third with Jordan Geist in second at 21.52 meters and Krauser in third at 21.42 meters.
