Tardozzi told the Italian newspaper: “My advice is for him to come back when he feels better, but the best advice he gets is from the team of doctors who treated him.

“So we’re not making any predictions at the moment; we’ll wait for him to recover and then when he feels better. At that point, we can’t wait for him to come back, so welcome.”

“We saw the vulnerability of the rider, the champion, the hero of so many fans, as he indirectly asked the team to be a fan, so it was amazing that he allowed us to show it.

But it’s because we asked for it, because we think it’s important, because it shows ‘who I am’. It doesn’t show a champion, it shows everything behind the success of a young champion like him.

“There’s a breakdown, there’s a team, there’s support that needs to be given to these guys who are doing amazing things on the track.”
