Asked about reports linking him and White to an upcoming announcement, Fury chose not to divulge details himself.
“I think I’m going to let Dana do the talking. I’m going to let him make his announcement,” Fury said. “So, let’s hope forward. This is a massive, massive, massive announcement.”
The White House environment only added to the attention surrounding Fury’s comments, especially given White’s growing influence in boxing through TKO’s expansion in the sport.
The conversation soon shifted to Anthony Joshua, a fight that has been discussed for more than a decade but has repeatedly failed to materialize.
“Very, very, very excited for this fight,” Fury said. “It’s been more than a decade in the making. For whatever reason, it hasn’t happened before. Let’s hope it happens now.”
