Whenever I am in place for a tournament I like to ask myself, ‘what is something new I can do this week?’ So I was very excited to be on the set of the Range Show powered by T-Mobile and hosted by my friends Smiley KaufmanCharlie Hulme and Alexandra O’Laughlin. While I do a lot of camera work in golf, it’s not very often that I’m on a real set. From the big cameras and bright lights to the ear pieces and the crew making sure everything is going right, everything always looks so official.
Kaufman and Hulme discussed all sorts of things, including the top contenders and the conditions therein Aronimink. They also interviewed Phillies legend Chase Utley, and the GOLF team got a chance to do a quick Q&A with him as well. Here’s what he had to say about golf and Philadelphia:
Claire Rogers: Who will win this week?
Chase Utley: Scottie Scheffler.
CR: Who is your favorite player to watch?
CU: Shane Lowry.
CR: What makes Philadelphia sports so great?
CU: Passionate fans.
CR: Who is your favorite golfing buddy from the past?
CU: Jimmy Rollins is fun to play with, but if he plays poorly, he drops his clubs. Shane Victorino is easy to play with, but he won’t stop talking, so definitely Ryan Howard.
