Callaway’s latest limited-edition supersoft celebrates mom with four sketchy designs. Available now for $27.99 a dozen.
Callaway has released the Supersoft Super Mom, a limited edition golf ball that celebrates Mother’s Day with four mom-themed designs on the Supersoft platform. And, yes, I am fully aware that a product called “Supersoft” that comes out on 4/20 in honor of mothers writes its own jokes. I’m choosing to believe that Callaway is messing with me at this point. This could have gone in a completely different direction. I haven’t been this disappointed since PING skipped the G420.

Moving forward.
What is mother taking?
The Super Mom Dozen features four designs in a sketchy art style that’s a nice departure from the typical stamped graphic. The palette leans feminine (pink, brown) without being too overwhelming.
Each of the four sleeves takes on a unique theme:
- icon (crown)
- Power (bent arm with little power Rosie the Riveter)
- Boss (a coffee mug, which is an odd choice for “boss” but safe)
- MVP (trophy)

Three of the four wells. Boss feels like someone in the meeting said “what do moms want?” and the first answer was caffeine. Fair enough, I guess.
You may have noticed that Callaway (and others) have started using the player’s number as part of the story. That’s the case here with the Supersoft Mom balls with “365,” which either reflects the number of days your mom puts in the effort or how many times mine makes me want to bang my head on a desk in any given week.

I’d argue that Callaway should have included “24” and “7” in the mix as well, but I guess it works.
Graphically, it’s a standard Supersoft. Soft Fast HyperElastic Core for soft-feeling ball speed, Hybrid Cover for distance and durability, and what Callaway describes as a new cover system for improved spin and control on the greenside.

If you or your mom already play Supersoft, you know what you’re getting. Design is the differentiator, not performance.
