He said in an interview with Gypsy Tales PodcastPedro Acosta takes a look at his 2025 season and how he’s finding his way as a rider.

Acosta admitted he was in his own bubble, and KTM officials told him to focus more on getting the most out of the bike rather than trying to compete in the championship.

“To be honest, I’m very happy with the way I managed to find things. It’s true that I added a lot of time in the first part of the 2025 season. For me, the beginning of the season was to shut myself down, don’t say.

“I wasn’t seeing reality. I was in my own world, trying not to see things if I wanted to win the championship. I really didn’t want to drive. I didn’t know why things weren’t going well.

“(KTM) “Okay, look, this is what you have, this is what you have to be if you want to compete. Stop thinking about the championship, that’s already gone. Give it your 100%. Maybe one day you’ll be fifth, maybe one day you’ll be sixth. But stop stressing, because you won’t build confidence.

Pedro Acosta also talked about how loyal he is and how difficult it would be to work with a rider who worked on his career last year.

“I’m really honest with the team, because in the end they’re the ones who are more interested in improving the bike. I know I’m not the easiest person to work with, because sometimes I’m too honest and it can seem impolite.

But I think sometimes if you don’t talk like that or show people who don’t take it seriously…I think you’ll improve a lot with these things. I know how to put emotions aside and be more professional in the box.
