When asked a week ago if he wanted to be the other US Ryder Cup captain Stewart Cink said “Heck yes”. He saw that the Americans had lost before the Europeans last month – their ninth loss to the past 12 games of the event – and Cink said he wanted to “try to get it”.
Of course, another thought also interested him.
“I would like to represent the United States,” he said.

Wednesday morning, Zinc and 11 players were notified of World Champions Cupwhich will present three teams with six men (SH.BA, Europe and international) consisting of players from the 50 Champions County and over PGA Tour. The December 4-7 event will play with six balls, Scotch Sixsomes (Shot Alternation Modified) and single match at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater, FL.
Previously, the players of the play had been notified – Jim Furyk for Americans; Darren Clarke for Europe; AND Mike Weir For the internationals – and each party will add a player after the game at the SAS Championship this week. While the lists currently stay, the players have 43 large championships combined throughout the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour Play, along with a combined 86 Ryder Cup presentation and the Cup presidents.

The World Champions Cup was first played two years ago, with the US victory, the internationals who ended the second and the Europeans ended third. Last year’s event was canceled due to the weather.
