Which Titleist GT Driver is for you? We tested all four.


Titleist makes four versions of the GT driver. That’s not unusual for a major OEM, but it creates a challenge for gamers trying to narrow down which one is the best to buy.

So we put all four to the test in our 2026 Most Wanted Driver test alongside 38 other drivers. What came back was clearer than expected. of GT lineup it actually resolves itself pretty well from swing speed.

If it swings below 90 mph

GT1 ranked ninth overall out of 42 drivers in our slow-speed testing, the best result of any The GT model in this bucket. The reason is forgiveness. GT1 posted a strong forgiveness score and a 95.2 percent shooting rate. Almost every shot our testers hit ended up somewhere manageable.

If you drive 90 to 105 mph

GT2 ranks 10th in the full field of 42 average speed drivers. The numbers tell you why: 253.6 total yards, a 92.5 pass percentage and 83.8 field goal percentage. It’s the only mid-speed GT model that scores well for distance and forgiveness.

GT3 reduced the GT2 in raw distance by a few yards, but the direct hit rate dropped to 45.0 percent. For an average speed player who hits it constantly, the GT3 is a legitimate option. For everyone else, the forgiveness gap is likely too great.

of GT1 ranks closer to the bottom of the list. It had the highest spin rate of any GT model at medium cruising speeds. If you go from 90 to 105 mph and played a GT1 because it seems like the safe choice, the data says it’s wrong.

If it swings over 105 mph

of GT3 ranked third overall out of 42 drivers, the best result of any GT model in any speed bucket in the entire test. He led the way in passing at 293.2 yards, posted a field goal percentage of 77.0 percent and a high passing score. At high speeds, the GT3 isn’t just a good driver. It is one of the best options on the market.

GT4 ranked sixth and had a 52.4 percent shooting percentage. If shot-shaping performance is your priority, the GT4 is the choice. For most fast swingers who want the complete package, the GT3 is the best call.

GT2 at fast speed deserves a specific mention. She ranked 37th in the field with a field goal percentage of 61.9 percent. Spin characteristics become a liability as club speed increases. It is the clearest example in this test of how much the speed of movement changes what a driver does.
