Welcome to Fully eligible 2026GOLF’s new platform to provide you with real golfer insight into which 2026 equipment might be best for your game. To that end, we gathered six GOLF content creators of varying abilities and put them through the gauntlet of six full-bag rigs (from driver to bag!) at six major club manufacturers in Phoenix and Carlsbad, California. In this installment (below), Jack Hirsh details his low-spin journey around Fully Fit 2026. You can browse our panelists’ full 2026 dream bags here:

During the Fully Fit course, I got away with some drivers that I really liked. TaylorMade, Callaway and Cobra all came out swinging hard and it was really hard to tell the difference between them on the course.
I ended up choosing the Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond because it was consistently faster than the rest of the bunch. Unfortunately, between swing changes, lack of play and lack of mental strength, it all started to fall apart. I wouldn’t have been able to get to the 18th fairway on the old St. Louis course. Andrews, let alone a narrow tree-lined street here at home.
I had to rebuild. I even went back to the TaylorMade and Cobra builds that I had also used with success, including breaking par for the first time with the Qi4D. Nothing worked.
Thankfully, Titleist stepped up their driver release this year and my man Hunter at TPI sorted me out.
I went in with zero confidence in my ability to hit the ball off the tee, and left that tee wanting to play more golf. I started playing really, really good golf, too.
My handicap at the end of last year jumped to 1 from +.3 and was trending even worse until the GTS3 came in the bag. It’s now down to +.3, and I feel like I’m playing the safest golf of my life. The GTS3 made me feel completely invincible from the tee. At the moment, and for several weeks afterwards, it was easily the best driver I hit this year.
So far with the rounds I’ve played with GTS3 equippedI’ve shot back for par, broken back for par, hit a 343-yard drive (definitely not hit by a sprinkler), and won a member-guest tournament at Victoria National, a golf course that’s famous for struggling, especially off the tee.

So naturally, about a week ago, I decided to try a new driver.
It turns out that the greatest gift Hunter gave me was actually my confidence. Now I’m back to TaylorMade and Cobra with a lot of success, and I’m currently at Qi4D with a new prototype from Mitsubishi that I can’t talk about yet, but it has an orange band on it.
The Callaway I loved so much unfortunately gives me the heebie jeebies now, so we’ll have to ease up on any testing with that one. As a Callaway driver player for the past decade, it’s a strange feeling not to have one in the bag now, but it just goes to show why it’s important to be in shape and why testing on the course is king.
The truth is that this story is not over yet. I really thought it was the GTS3. But the success of GTS3 kind of created its rival monster in that it gave me back all the confidence I needed to play better, and now other things are really good again. This Qi4D combo can be deadly. So instead of answering what made the bag official, I’ll leave you with the plan I have for handling the decision.
TaylorMade Qi4D Custom Driver
SHAPE FOR SPEED The re-engineered head profile increases ball speed thanks to improved aerodynamics developed through advanced simulations. FACE FOR DISTANCE 60x Carbon Twist Face™ is a technological cornerstone that provides weight savings, exceptional ball speed and more durability compared to a titanium face. ADJUSTABLE PERFORMANCE The 4° loft sleeve can be used to adjust the loft angle, reach and face for optimized flight. PROVEN TOUR TECHNOLOGY The new and improved Speed Pocket™ cutting edge protects ball speed and reduces spin on low face shots. Advanced CAD modeling creates a design with a clean and powerful sound, a foundation of TaylorMade driver performance. Multi-material construction allows engineers to strategically place mass in areas of the head where it maximizes performance, speed and stability.

Arccos just released a new update to their app that allows you to compare the performance of different clubs. I’m going on a golf trip this week and will be playing the same course multiple times so we have a perfect storm.
The plan is to bring GTS3 and Qi4D builds with meand alternate them every round for 4 rounds. After that, it’s straight to Arccos stats and I’ll let Arccos tell me what to do. Right now, one of the drivers has a clear advantage, but I haven’t hit the same number of shots with both clubs.
At the end of the day, I only care about one thing: which helps me score better. Arccos measures OUR data, so there will be a lot to digest.

Here’s what I know for sure. There are many great drivers out there for every golfer. This is the best driver’s market we’ve ever had and I feel like it will continue to be that way for some time to come.
We won’t see a new Titleist or TaylorMade until 2028. Ping is set to release a new lineup in 2027, along with Callaway and Cobra, and even Mizuno and Wilson have come out swinging this year with options that I’ve played on the course with great success as well.
It’s the best time to be in the market for a new driver. The only mandatory action you need to take is to make sure you are in shape and then bring it back with experience on the course.
