How to watch the US Open on Friday
The game’s top players and golf fans are in for a long day Friday at Shinnecock Hills. The first round of this US Open was hampered by an early fog delay. Those two wasted hours resulted in some players not being able to finish their rounds before dark on Thursday night.
The first order of business on Friday is round 1 restartwhich will take place at 6:35 a.m. ET, weather permitting. The second round will take place at 6:50 a.m. ET, 15 minutes later than originally scheduled.
When the game starts on Friday, Wyndham Clark will be at the top. The 2023 US Open champion was the only player to go too low on Thursday, reaching six under before play was called. He needs to finish two more holes to complete Round 1 and potentially extends his lead to four strokes.
Rory McIlroy was among the players to complete Round 1 on Thursday. He shot a one-under 69 and will start the second round on Friday at 2:02 PM ET.
You can watch the second round of the US Open on TV via NBC and NBCSN, with NBCSN opening coverage at 6:30 a.m. on Friday. Television coverage of Round 2 will air on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET, with a live simulcast of both telecasts available at peacock. Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA application will offer featured group coverage beginning Friday morning at 7:29 a.m. ET.
