As a golf cart owner, I love a good cooler in the cart. Whether I’m out for an afternoon walk, headed to the driving range or playing golf, I’m sipping drinks that stay cold.
However, not every cooler works well in a golf cart. Some are too big, some are too heavy, and some just don’t fit where you want them to.
Here are three that I would recommend.
The new one YETI Roadie it’s the one I’d start with because it’s advertised as a golf cart cooler. If you’ve ever tried to force a solid cooler into the back of a buggy, you know it’s not always an easy fit.
If you are a golf cart owner and own a four or six seater, size probably won’t be as much of an issue. But for a standard golf cart basket, this fits without creating a DIY project. The non-slip feet also help prevent sliding around, which is a nice feature.
Like most The YETIswhen you open it up, you may notice that there isn’t a ton of interior space. But there is a lot to get you through a round of golf. The color options are great, the size is practical and it’s not too heavy.
I use this cooler for more than just golf. It’s small enough to carry around without thinking twice and tough enough to stay on.
of Stanley Adventure Cooler 16-Qt it was bigger than I expected, which turned out to be a good thing. If you have your golf cart and you have that back compartment under the back seat, this cooler fits in there really well. I tested it in my Club car on a 98 degree day and it held the ice better than I expected.
It also feels lighter and easier to handle than some other solid coolers, but interior space is generous. Stanley says it holds 21 cans and at 6.6 pounds, it’s a good balance of sturdy and manageable.
The leak-proof gasket, strong clips and bungee system on top make it feel more like an outdoor cooler than just something you throw in the cart.
If you want something a little smaller, the Stanley All Day Julienne Midi Cooler is another good option. It costs a bit more and doesn’t hold as much Adventure 16-Qt but the size makes sense if it’s mostly just you on the course and you don’t need a full-on solid cooler.
of Titan from the Arctic Zone is the value option I would add to the list. Because it has a soft side, you don’t have to worry as much about the correct fit in the basket of the stroller or in the back compartment.
It’s also a little easier to bring to a golf course that can be sensitive about coolers. A bag tends to draw less attention than a sturdy cooler.
I’ve used this for beach days and boat days, too, and it’s held up well. There are several different color options and the size is practical without being awkward to hold.
I have YETI Daytrip Soft Cooleralso, and while it has held up very well, it is smaller than this Titan and about twice the price. For a golf cart cooler that can do more than just get around the course, this makes a lot of sense.
