The press release for Scotty Cameron’s two new Phantom models described them as “bookmarks” for the 2026 Phantom line.
In terms of size, the bookcase is the perfect descriptor.
For you younger folks, people owned collections of books. Yes, those letters. To keep your collection of books from falling off the shelf, you’ll place objects at the ends of the row of books to hold them up.
Hence, the “library”.

The new Phantom 3.2 and Phantom 12 live at opposite ends of the size spectrum, perfectly fitting the other 2026 models.
Continuing the literary theme, it would be reasonable to refer to these as Baby Bear and Papa Bear of the Fantom tile line.
(Technically, that would make the other 11 Phantom models all Mama Bears, which is potentially difficult.)
Maybe we should leave the library and go back to these two new tools and their polar opposite profiles.
Who actually reads these days anyway?
2026 Scotty Cameron Phantom IMAGES
Before we get to the new shapes, let’s enjoy a quick sketch main features of the Scotty Cameron Phantom 2026 line.
The new carbon steel insert is definitely a main character in the history of the Phantom 2026. This full face insert with its beautiful chain pattern gives the right combination of soft feel, nice sound and controlled spin.
This may sound like a company pitch, but I consider this new insert to be one of the best creations of 2026. It’s fantastic and I’m a fan.
There’s a reason the Phantom 7.2 has spent a lot of time in my bag this year, and it’s not about words, just (low) numbers.
Stainless steel and milled aluminum construction
The supporting cast elements in the Phantom 2026 lineup are less center stage, but just as important. All Phantom models are multi-material designs, combining aluminum and stainless steel to achieve high MOI numbers.
To accommodate the new face, the models had to be reworked, carving out a place for it and making sure the impact tones remained at pleasing frequencies.
The outer face geometries were also reworked. The center of the face is longer than the edges. This design creates a look at address that moves the eye to the center of the putter, which should lead to more consistent shots.
The final component of the Phantom 2026 line is neck variability. Each model comes with at least two neck options. It should have a neck that matches your stroke, even if you’re looking for a zero-torque build.
2026 Scotty Cameron Phantom 3.2
The new Phantom 3.2 is the smallest addition to the family. I bet many of you said “that looks like a _______” when you saw this little round hammer.
I said it looked like a mini Phantom 9R.
This head design combines elements from many previous Cameron hammers. I’ll let Austie Rollinson, Cameron’s Senior Director of Putter R&D explain.
“The face profile was influenced by the Red X model. The rounded tread has some of the GOLO 6 in it. We wanted to bring back the T-Crown detail of the Phantom 9, which allows the line of sight to extend the length of the head from front to back. And finally, the ‘slots’ actually came from the old Kombi model, which is a great way to pull off both.”
This is a complete combination of shooter features. Reading that quote reminded me Johnny Cash song “One Piece at a Time”.
If you put all the parts together and end up with a working Cadillac, I’d call that a success.
2026 Scotty Cameron Phantom 12
Turning the page, we come to the new Phantom 12. Phantom 12 is the giant of books. It is unapologetically a hammer hammer.
Some of the other hammers in the Scotty Cameron Phantom 2026 line are hammers that are designed to be played as blades.
The Phantom 12 is a hammer designed to play like a mallet.
The center of gravity is low and toward the rear. Remember, moving the CG forward is one way to make a hammer feel like a blade.
The Phantom 12 is built for maximum stability and forgiveness. The stainless steel surround ring makes up 65 percent of the head’s weight, increasing MOI.
This goalie already has a professional tournament history attached to him. Hall of Famer Lydia Ko used a center-shaft version of the Phantom 12 to shoot a first-round 60 this year at the Ford Championship.
Helping an amazing player shoot the tournament low of her career is a solid accomplishment for any player.
Check stores at the end of July
I think this closes the book on the new Phantom models. The only thing left to do is check them out when they hit the shelves. The Phantom 3.2 and Phantom 12 should be in stores near you by the end of July. Each has an MSRP of $499.
With these additions, the Scotty Cameron Phantom line becomes one of the most complete lines of hammers in the 2026 coral. The line has amazing design diversity and this is matched by diversity in playability.
Phantom belts come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. There are necks available to fit all fingerboarding needs. The new carbon steel insert feels amazing too.
