Oceania Athletics Club Expands Roster With Five Powerhouse Signings
Olympic finalists and national record holders join the Melbourne-based center as the latest members of the OAC Oceania team.
Melbourne, Australia, April 7, 2026 – The Swiss sportswear brand today announces: adding five exceptional athletes to the On Athletics Club (OAC) Oceania roster; Stuart McSwain (USA), Sam Tanner (NZL), Sarah Tait (GBR), Toby Gillen (USA) and Alex Stitt (USA). The milestone marks OAC Oceania’s biggest expansion since its inception in 2023, bringing the team’s total roster to 13 world-class members.

Meet new members!
Stuart McSwain. A childhood dream come true
Australian long-distance running titan, 30 years old Stuart McSwain has been on the world stage for years. His journey began at the age of 12 through school sports where he fell in love with the autonomy of the track. “I just liked that you were running, you were in control of your training and you had to decide the outcome,” says McSwain. Having achieved his dream of representing Australia at the Olympics, the multiple national record holder joins OAC Oceania with his sights set on greater achievements.
Sam Tanner. “Kiwi” Miller in need of speed
A double Olympian and one of New Zealand’s top 1500m talents, Sam Tanner I:sa sub-3:50 miler known for his mustache and tactical prowess. Tanner’s path was not linear. After being disqualified at a small local meet at age 12, he gave up athletics to focus on surfing. He returned at age 17, driven by renewed Olympic ambitions. “I stay grounded because of my faith and love for family and the ocean,” said Tanner, who now looks to add to his many national titles and records under the OAC banner.
Sarah Tate. Scottish track record holder
Originally from Scotland, Sarah Tate joins the team after a standout collegiate career at West Virginia University, where he earned All-American honors twice. Scotland’s national record holder Tate, who is a track and field specialist, is currently representing Great Britain at the world championships in Tokyo. “I am delighted to join On and the OAC Oceania team as the next step in my professional career,” said Tate.
Toby Gillen. From NCAA to Pro Ranks
Toby Gillen describes himself as a “college runner” who moved from Australia to the US in 2022 to compete. Saint Louis University and later University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). A three-time NCAA 5,000m finalist, Gillen transitions to the OAC Oceania pro circuit having accomplished nearly all of her collegiate goals. His focus now shifts to making his mark on the international top stage.
Alex Stith. Mid-range rising power
New additions are being rounded up Alex StithA fellow NCAA standout Oklahoma State University. Stitt has quickly emerged as one of Australia’s most promising 1500m runners, recently running a personal best of 3:35.71. His arrival brings deep tactical versatility to the OAC Oceania middle distance core as they prepare for the upcoming championship season.
