We’ve said it before in this space, but it bears repeating: the US 250th anniversary this 4th of Julyth it seems to be, at best, being swept aside.
If you’re old enough to remember the Bicentennial in 1976, you remember that the celebration had a full two-year run, with nightly TV Bicentennial Minutes, a massive celebration in 1975 at the Old North Bridge in Concord, Mass., and the biggest July 4th party the country had ever seen.th a year later.
Times change.
Anyway, enough of that. Let’s score Bridgestone’s ticket to the 250th party. Bridgestone Golf does limited editions / special events as well as anyone. Some are simple, some are fun, and some, like the new patriotic USA 250 “capsule,” get right to the point.

Bridgestone Golf USA 250 “capsule”
of Bridgestone Golf USA 250 the capsule is as straightforward as it gets. Products in the “capsule” (a trendy name for a special limited-edition package) include a dozen Bridgestone TOUR B RX golf balls, a 250th ball marker and a pretty cool USA snapback cap.
of TOUR B RX golf balls are the same as the non-USA 250 golf balls. However, the packaging is decidedly retro, even with some intentional scuffing on the box and sleeves (Hey, you don’t get to 250 without a few dings and scratches). The balls themselves have the Bridgestone USA 250 logo and the game numbers are all there 250 instead of the traditional – and boring – 1 through 4.

The heavy ball marker also contains 250th logo while the USA snapback resembles an NFL sideline cap from the mid-90s.
Not that this is a bad thing.

Price and availability
The thing about a “capsule” is that it is sold as a capsule. Perhaps “package” would be more descriptive. In other words, parts are not sold separately.

The capsule will retail for $99.99 starting Monday, June 15, just in time for the US Open. It will be available exclusively at Bridgestone Golf website.
Golf balls, however, are available now.
