Massimo Rivola has spoken again about Marc Marquez as Aprilia’s dominance continues in 2026.
Over the weekend, the Apria produced another impressive performance at the Italian Grand Prix around the Mugello circuit.
Marco Bezecchi won the Grand PrixHe finished ahead of his Aprilia teammate George Martin and Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia.
As a result, Bezeci now leads Martin by 17 points. At the top of the standings, Apria leads the trackhouse with 150 points.
Marco Bezecchi extends his lead at the top of the championship! What odds do you give Marc Marquez from 102 points back?
Massimo Rivola said the same about Marc Marquez.
Speaking after the Italian Grand Prix, Aprilia team boss Rivola reiterated his desire to get Marquez back to his best form.
The Italian has named the seven-time world champion as an ‘inspiration’ for Aprilia to ‘take risks’.
As stated last month. Rivola wants to see Marquez return to his best form As quickly as possible, he repeated those comments again at Mugello.
According to a Spanish news outlet Make a markRivola said: “I repeat that I cannot wait for Marc Marquez to be 100% because it is an incentive for us to take risks and try to beat him because he is the strongest rider.”
“Regarding last year, to put it simply, ‘Bez’ was too fast compared to the rider in front and he didn’t assess the gap, it could happen.”
Who will win the Hungarian Grand Prix?
Following Bezecic’s win at Mugello, Rivola compared the Aprilia star to men’s tennis world number one and Italian Janic Ciner.
Rivola, like Sinner Bezeci, said he was able to produce his best when the pressure was on.
Rivola added: “What I love about Marco is that when the pressure is on, he can really come up with something good on his own.
The higher the expectations, the more he manages to give his all. Especially after reaching the pole position, the pressure was inevitable, but it was perfect.
The proof is that we compete practically everywhere, we have two strong drivers on each circuit, each with their own characteristics and preferences.
“We can look forward with confidence, but without losing our humility. The thing I’m most proud of is that we weren’t very fast on Friday, but we were able to improve throughout the weekend.”
Apria will be looking to continue their dominance as the season continues this weekend at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
