O’Shaquie Foster isn’t backing down from his pursuit of a fight with Lamont Roach Jr.
Days after defeating Raymond Ford by majority decision to retain his WBC super featherweight title, Foster renewed his criticism of Roach during a heated exchange on social media. The feud began after Roach rejected Foster’s suggestion that he avoid a fight with him.
“Nigga said I dodged him but I fought against? So I dodged you to fight against? Shut your dumb ass and enjoy your victory,” Lamont says.
Roach’s response refers to his March 2025 majority draw against Gervonta Davis, a fight many consider one of the biggest opportunities of his career. Foster quickly fired back, accusing Roach of choosing another opponent rather than face him.
No, you dodged me to fight this old boy!!! You know what’s up you do all that tweaking I’ll catch up with you and you’re going to get the same treatment you got!!! BTA⚡️ https://t.co/R77mnUGWyJ pic.twitter.com/VOB3XDMOGv

Foster pointed to Roach’s fight with Feargal McCrory as proof of his claim that Roach avoided a fight with him.
The exchange comes after Foster publicly called out several notable names following his win over Ford. Along with Roach, Foster mentioned Davis and Shakur Stevenson as fighters he wants to face next.
There is currently no indication that a Foster-Roach fight is being negotiated. Roach is scheduled to challenge William Zepeda for the vacant WBC lightweight title on Aug. 1 in Las Vegas, a move that puts his immediate focus on 135 pounds.
That didn’t stop Foster from keeping the pressure on in public. If nothing else, the back-and-forth added fuel to a rivalry that looks far from over.
