Separate training time for the 3rd round
It’s a crowded table at the halfway point in Texas, where Jordan Smith leads at 10 under par through 36 holes, but 23 other players are within four shots of him, including major winners Brian Harman and Hideki Matsuyama (-9). JJ Spaun (-8), and Gary Woodland and Keegan Bradley, both six under par.
A win Sunday would be the first of Smith’s PGA Tour career. The 33-year-old Englishman has another top 10 on his resume this season – a lone third-place finish at the Valspar Championship in March.
Smith will play in Saturday afternoon’s final bracket alongside Michael Thorbjornsen and Ryan Gerard at 1:15 PM ET.
