The IPL 2026 Eliminator between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) produced several amusing moments, but one in particular Ravindra Jadeja quickly became a major topic of discussion on social media. The veteran all-rounder had a gutsy reaction after claiming a crucial wicket during SRH’s tough run chase at the Mullanpur Stadium.
After Rajasthan Royals put up a big total in the first innings, SRH needed a strong batting effort to stay alive in the contest. With the Men in Orange showing glimpses of a comeback, Jadeja finally stepped up with a timely breakthrough to swing the momentum back in RR’s favour.
Sunrisers Hyderabad were under pressure early in the innings after losing four wickets in the power play. However, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Salil Arora briefly revived the chase with an aggressive partnership that injected fresh energy into the contest. Nitish was in great touch during his quick delivery and Jadeja looked ready for bigger shots before he edged him in the 11th over. Trying to clear the boundary with a slightly quicker delivery, SRH showed their all-rounder at the wrong time. Dasun Shanaka safely completes holding near the ropes.
What followed immediately caught the attention of fans and commentators alike. Jadeja celebrated the wicket by recreating Nitish’s trademark “Pushpa” not to mention, a gesture the SRH youngster has often used after big performances in recent years. The moment quickly went viral, with many fans seeing it as a playful prank during a high-pressure knockout clash.

Rajasthan Royals defeated SRH to enter Qualifier 2
At the start of the match, Rajasthan Royals displayed dominant batting after batting first. Little Vaibhav Suryavanshi RR starred with a sensational innings as they piled up 243 runs on the board in a must-win match. Despite their early collapse, Nitish and Salil tried to bring SRH back into the contest with an aggressive middle-order partnership. However, Jofra Archer and Sushant Mishra continued to take wickets at regular intervals resulting in SRH being bowled out for 196 in 19.2 overs.
Jadeja was once again instrumental with the ball and continued his impressive IPL 2026 campaign, where he frequently grabbed headlines for both his performances and celebrations. Earlier this season, the former Chennai Super Kings star grabbed attention with his ‘in my pocket’ gesture and aggressive deliveries during key matches.
