Like Rickie Fowler and Max Homa, Drew Stoltz found the perfect combination of Cobra irons to complete his “flow” set.
Stoltz, who is a co-host of GOLF’s Subpar Podcast, added Cobra 3DP MB shackles for his 7-iron wedge. He then plays the Cobra 3DP Limited on the 4th through 6th.
“If you want to be able to hit late times of 150 and up and then get to the moon from 6 to 4, this is your group,” Stoltz said on the latest episode of Emergency 9, presented by Cobra.
Stoltz chose to add 3DP MB shackles to the 7 pitching wedge in order to have more control over his trajectory.
Cobra 3DP MB Custom Handcuffs
The 3DP MB iron combines the look and feel of a traditional forged back muscle with the forgiveness of a hollow back iron. The most forgiving blade on the market, the MB has wowed Tour players by checking all the boxes and exceeding expectations with its incredible stability and feel. FORGIVING BACK MUSCLE BLADE SHAPE A slightly revised KING MB shape inspired by feedback from PGA Tour player Max Homa, the MB features a thinner topline and improved offset. The 3D printed inner grille and heel, toe and tungsten hose increases the MOI for stability and positions the CG perfectly centered and lower than the KING MB to promote higher launch. EXTREME FORGIVING MEETS SOFT FEEL The 3D printed inner grille structure not only optimizes weight savings, but also provides the stiffness and strength to support the face and fine-tune the acoustics of each iron to produce the most engaging sound and feel at impact. TOLLOFTEN WEIGHT Discretionary weight savings from the 3D printed grid allowed up to 55g of tungsten to be placed down in the heel, toe and shank, resulting in the perfect blend of a compact blade shape with a low CG and high MOI that reflects a game-enhancing iron.

“The easiest thing for me with these irons is being able to hit it,” Stoltz said. “A lot of times I like to hit low wedges, low 9-irons and things like that. It makes it a lot easier. You get all the hitting ability of a blade, but you get more forgiveness.”
Stoltz stuck with the 3DP Limited irons on the 4 through 6 irons to get the fluid needed on his longer irons.
“I’m trying to get as much out of this as I can,” Stoltz said. “I want my misses to get as much distance as possible, I want my off-center shots to be off-line as little as possible. These give me the look I like in the irons, but also more forgiveness, easier to get in the air than for UKs if I were to play them on the long irons.”
