On May 20, a famous event took place in Kent.
Both Dulwich Men and Kent AC Women easily won their third successive titles in this famously well organized event which reached its limit well before the closing date of 150 teams.
Dulwich fielded an M35 All Masters team of 2:25 marathoners, with Aaron Wilson (13:03), Jack Ream (13:21) and Ben Howe (13:07) winning by 48 seconds from Blackheath and Bromley.
Kent, who also won in 2022 and 2023, leads the women’s race.

Their multiple World Masters record holder, Claire Elms (15:11), ran the first leg of the course, which runs through her front garden, and was easily the fastest woman. Teammates Molly O’Connor (16:19) and Alexa Parker (15:42) edged South London Harriers by more than half a minute.

Notably, Elms also won the fastest lap award in 2014 and 2015, but here at age 62 was faster than a decade ago and ran his fastest time since 2012.
Runner-up and 65:41 half-marathoner Dillon Hobbs of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, clocked the fastest men’s time (12:51) in the opening leg.
