Bangladeshi players taunt Mohammad Rizwa with a Bollywood-style sledge
During Day 4 of the chase, Rizwan was batting cautiously as Pakistan looked to stay alive chasing a mammoth target of 437 runs. The Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman repeatedly stopped play after spotting movement near the screen and asked the umpires to intervene before continuing his innings.
Repeated interruptions frustrated the Bangladesh keeper Lytton Das and a couple of near fielders who had a lively exchange in the middle. Stump microphones clearly picked up the Bangladeshi players, who made humorous comments aimed at Rizwan’s animated reactions.
One of the players was heard saying: “You will be charged 50 paise for excessive movement.” A moment later another voice added: “Abhi has packed the place, so he is overacting.” another commenter joked that there is “no place for her in Bollywood”. The comments quickly went viral on the internet, with fans linking the jokes to the popular Bollywood style of comedy often seen in films like Hera Feri.
