Later in his comments about Márquez on the podcast, Dovizioso elaborated on his verdict on Márquez not being dominant in 2025 when he reviewed Aprilia’s dominance this season.

“They’re not clearly superior, but that’s because in today’s MotoGP it’s impossible to be clearly dominant. Like last year, Marc wasn’t as dominant.

“He wasn’t that far, he was often touch and go, but he was able to create that impression even on his rivals. As a result, even if that small gap at the beginning of the year wasn’t real, it will gradually grow.”
