Stevenson, who currently holds major titles at 140 pounds, has been linked to the Dana White and Turki Alalshikh-backed project for months as Zuffa continues to build his roster around recognizable names and aggressive matchups.

“140-pound titleholder Shakur Stevenson is finalizing a deal with Zuffa Boxing. Stevenson will join Conor Benn as the most high-profile names in the Zuffa stable,” Mannix said on X.

The move will represent another major step in Zuffa Boxing’s bid to establish itself as a serious player in boxing after launching in partnership with TKO Group and Saudi-backed Sela.

Conor Benn has already emerged as one of the promotion’s early middleweight fighters, and Stevenson’s addition will give Zuffa an undefeated multi-division champion widely regarded as one of the sport’s top technical talents.

Stevenson recently cemented his standing at junior welterweight with a dominant win over Teofimo Lopez, capturing the WBO and Ring Magazine titles while continuing his undefeated run.

The reported deal also raises speculation about future Zuffa-backed bouts involving Stevenson against big names at 140 and 147 pounds. The promotion has repeatedly shown interest in building UFC-style events centered around lower weight divisions and big in-house fights.

No official announcement has yet been made by Stevenson or Zuffa Boxing, but Mannix’s report quickly sparked discussion on social media in boxing as fans began to debate possible future opponents and the growing influence of Saudi-backed money in the sport.

The reported signing will also give Zuffa Boxing another undefeated US champion in his prime at a time when the company is aggressively pursuing younger stars with crossover potential. Stevenson has repeatedly spoken about wanting big fights and bigger platforms as his career approaches what many consider his peak years.
