- F:Aith Kipyegon, Kenya, won his fourth straight 1500m title in 3:52.15. Dorcas Evoy, also from Kenya, finished second in 3:54.92 and Jessica HullAustralia took bronze in 3:55.16.
- Ethan Katzberg, RULE, defended his title with a throw of 84.70 meters. it was huge, setting a new championship record.
- Hamish Kerr, New Zealand completed the Global Gold collection. Hamish cleared 2.36m, equaling the Ocean record (which was his). Kiwi high jumper with edges Woo Sanghyeok / South Korea with its distance of 2.34 meters.

Hamish Kerr, defending champion, photo by World Athletics - Cordell Tinch from the US won his first world title in 12.99 minutes. Tinch maintained the defense of his US title in the 110m hurdles, even without three-time winner Grant Holloway in the final.
- Sydney McLaughlin-Levron, USA, ran 48.29 to break Sanya Richards-Ross’ 2006 AR in the women’s 400m semifinals.
- Colleen Blacksmith, Botswanaran a 43.61 WL to advance to the finals.
For the fourth night in a row, the Tokyo crowd was spectacular. This was the first time that the Japanese crowd can enjoy the global event in reborn Tokyo Olympic Stadium. In Tokyo 2021, to be determined covid 19 no fans were allowed to enter the stadium.
