Cameron Young’s The scorching hot streak continued this week with another big win, this time at the Cadillac Championship.
Young made a change to his bag since his progress in the Players Championship a little over a month ago. Looking to gain even more height on the greens at Augusta National, Young worked with Titleist’s JJ Van Wezenbeeck on a new GTS3 7-wood that went into the bag instead of his GT1 hybrid in the Masters.
The new GTS3 7-wood has the same brightly colored face as its GTS 3Tour 3-wood prototype. We don’t have technical details yet on the new GTS fairways, but a bright face often gives the impression of more loft, which causes the player to cover the ball more.
The rest of Young’s kit remains completely unchanged from his 11.0-degree GT3 driver, custom 631.CY irons and Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R cal. You can dive deeper into Young’s bag, with insights from Van Wezenbeeck, Vokey’s Aaron Dill and Scotty Cameron’s Brad Cloke, in Masters week edition of Bag Spy.
