
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) produced one of the most dominant bowling performances IPL 2026 season as they tear through Capitals of DelhiThe batting line-up at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. With the revenge of their minds after a narrow defeat in the previous meeting Rajat Patidar‘s men came out with a clear plan and executed it to perfection, thrashing Delhi for 45/7 in a breathtaking Powerplay attack.
The visitors looked sharp from the first delivery, making brilliant use of the beneficial early conditions. The swing, seam movement and ruthless accuracy from the fast attack stunned Delhi, while the home crowd watched in silence as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar removes Sahil Parakh with a jaffa
veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar Delhi Capitals gave RCB a perfect start by dismissing their debutant Beach Parax for a duck in just the second ball of the shot. It was straight out of the fast bowling textbook – full, fast, late-swinging and completely unplayable.
A confident Bhuvneshwar bowled a deadly yorker that targeted right middle stump. Parakh, making his IPL debut under pressure, had no answer. He tried to get his bat down in time, but the late action failed him completely as the ball crashed into the stumps and broke away from the root of the middle stump.
The pace of the dismissal immediately swung in RCB’s favor and set the tone for what followed. It was a dream start for Bhuvneshwar and a nightmare debut moment for the young batter. The video of the dismissal quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising the veteran pacer for producing one of the best deliveries of the tournament so far.

Josh Hazlewood and company continue to destroy
If Bhuvneshwar provided the spark, Josh Hazlewood he made sure the fire kept burning. The Australian speedster kept up the relentless pressure with his disciplined line and hard length, forcing Delhi’s top order into mistakes.
The Capitals never recovered from the early collapse. Their star batting failed to settle and RCB’s rebuilding efforts were thwarted by aggressive field placements and sharp bowling plans. Single digit dismissals were the theme of the innings as the Bengaluru bowlers continued to attack the stumps and force errors.
At the end of the 10th over, Delhi were reeling at 45/7, staring at one of their lowest totals of the season. Even a brief interruption caused by a dust storm could not change the momentum in their favor. Eventually they were bundled out for just 75 runs.
