MotoGP manufacturers want Honda to ‘reduce’ F1-style budget cap before 2027.

MotoGP factories are calling for a budget cap in the premier class, citing concerns about Honda’s financial dominance.

The Japanese giants have bounced back significantly in recent years and are looking to return to their former glory in MotoGP. In the year 2026 Honda They’re slowly making their way back to the front of the grid after getting C-level deals last year.

While the RC213V isn’t currently a race-winning bike, the project has serious potential thanks to Honda’s significant budget. This has led rivals to call for a Formula 1-style budget cap to curb their growth.

Honda is in talks with Tech3. Bringing it up with LCR as a satellite team. They want to match Ducati and have six bikes on the grid by 2027, which shows how financially strong the manufacturer is.

MotoGP teams are scrambling for budget capital to ‘downsize’ Honda.

Journalist Simon Patterson said. Race MotoGP podcast Manufacturers besides Yamaha are personally calling for budget capital in MotoGP. Honda’s fortunes have given them cause for concern.

Because Ducati is selling 50,000 bikes a year, 50,000 Panigales a year to support their MotoGP project and Honda is selling 4 million in Indonesia.

“There’s a lot of wealth behind what they’re doing, it might not be OK for me in ’27, but Honda is going to win again, without a doubt, Honda is going to win, and Honda’s not just going to win, they’re going to dominate.”

Can Fabio Quatararo and David Alonso lead Honda to another MotoGP title?

Honda has not won a MotoGP championship since 2019 with Marc Marquez. Since then they have struggled to find a winning package, but 2027 could throw the pecking order into disarray.

If rumors are to be believed, they could have a strong pack next year, and they have the lineup of riders that will put them in a position to win. Fabio Quatararo is joining Honda in 2027.He is set to team up with Moto2 star David Alonso.

Quatararo will be the highest paid rider. Next year on the grid, and he hopes to have a bike that can win races. He was frustrated by the lack of development progress at Yamaha, hence his decision to sign for their Japanese rivals.

Quattroro and Alonso are definitely the most interesting rider pair for 2027. With Honda’s financial power, they can fight for race wins and championships, but whether they can adapt to the machine is another question.
