Delhi Capitals (DC) had a thrilling six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) In the 26th match Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a chase down to the finals, he showed nerves of steel with DC David Miller delivered a match-winning cameo to take his side over the line with just one ball remaining.
Phil Salt shines as RCB post competitive total
After being put into bat, RCB posted 175/8 in 20 overs. Phil Salt. The opener was in excellent touch, hitting 63 off 38 balls, hitting four boundaries and three sixes. He provided a strong platform along with Virat Kohli, who scored 19 runs.

KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs keep DC’s chase under pressure
Chasing 176, Delhi Capitals did not have the best of starts Pathum Nissanka fell quickly. KL Rahul then took control of the innings with a smooth 57 off 34 deliveries. His knocks of six fours and two sixes laid the foundation for the chase.
Tristan Stubbs played an important supporting role in what turned out to be the match-deciding shot. The right-hander took the innings through the middle stages, scoring 47 off 60 balls. Despite a few hiccups with wickets falling at intervals, Stubbs ensured DC stayed in the hunt. Akhar Patel also made a valuable contribution with 26 runs and kept the necessary pace under control till the last overs.

David Miller’s heroics sealed the dramatic victory
With 15 runs required in the final over, the pressure was heavily on Delhi Capitals. That’s when Miller stepped up and showed off his finishing skills. The experienced southpaw smashed two powerful sixes and a boundary to swing the game decisively in DC’s favour.
Miller remained unbeaten on 22 from just 10 balls, playing a sensational cameo under pressure to take his team home at 179/4 in 19.5 overs. His late attack was the defining moment of the match.
For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar Finishing with figures of 3/26, he was an outstanding performer who quickly swung the momentum in his team’s favour. Krunal Pandya took the wicket as well, but the rest of the bowling unit struggled, especially in the death overs where Miller took control.
