IPL 2026: Fans go crazy as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel step up to extend Rajasthan Royals’ unbeaten run against RCB



In a stunning display by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel A breath-taking knock helped his side chase down Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) 201/8 by two wickets to spare at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium. Virat Kohli (32 off 16) counter-attacked with seven fours, with Devdutt Padikkal (14) adding 45 runs. However, Ravi Bishnoi turned the game around by dismissing Kohli and Krunal Pandya (1) in quick succession.

RCB slipped to 76/5 when Jitesh Sharma (5) fell and soon Tim David (13) left them at 94/6. Captain Rajat Patidar then played a captain’s knock, hitting 63 (4 fours, 4 sixes) off 40 balls. He added 41 runs in the last three overs with Romario Shepherd (22 off 11) and Venkatesh Iyer (29 off 15) to push RCB to 201/8. Bishnoi (2/32), Archer (2/33) and Brijesh Sharma (2/37) were the pick of the bowlers for RR.

Chase: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel blitz

Chasing 202, Rajasthan lost Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) early. But then came India’s Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who came up with a bare-knuckle strike. He smashed 78 runs off just 26 deliveries, including 8 fours and 7 sixes, in an amazing knock of 300. He tore apart RCB’s pace attack, especially Abhinandan Singh, who conceded 18 runs in his only over, and Romario Shepherd, who scored 18 runs.

Sooryavanshi added 108 runs off just 37 balls for the second wicket with Dhruv Jurel acting as the perfect anchor. Jurel remained unbeaten on 81 off 43 balls (8 fours, 3 sixes), spinning and finding boundaries at will. Then Sooryavanshi fell Krunal Pandyaand Shimron Hetmyer (0) and Riyan Parag (3) departed cheaply, Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja (24 not out off 25) chased home in 12 balls.
