Editor’s Note: I first interviewed Jessica Schilder in Apeldoorn 2025 before the European Championships. I enjoyed watching his big win there and his performance in Nanjing as well. Jessica won the gold medal at the World Outdoor in Tokyo 2025. His performance in Toruń gave him 4th place.
Jessica is quite introverted and popular among her fellow countrymen. The FBK Hengelo meet is one of my favorite events.

HENGELO (NED). World shooting champion Jessica Schilder has confirmed her appearance at the 45th edition of the FBK Games in Hengelo (WACT Gold) on 21 June. “I’m really looking forward to taking to the Dutch soil at the beautiful Fanny Blankers-Koen stadium. Looking forward to the amazing atmosphere. To Hengelo.”
And Ellen van Langen, the director of the meeting, adds: “It’s great to have Jessica as a world champion first. It’s also great that he has brought his discipline to the attention of Dutch sports fans over the past few years. Therefore, Jessica is one of the main attractions of the public.”
