How to watch the Texas Children’s Houston Open on Saturday
Gary Woodland has a three-shot lead heading into Saturday’s third round at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, and it’s hard to define it much better than the way he’s done so far. Back-to-back rounds of 64 and 63 have him pacing the field at 13-under, with Friday’s 63 standing as his lowest round in more than a year and pushing him to a career-best 36-hole total on Tour.
There is also a layer of unfinished business. Woodland was runner-up here a year agoand again finds himself in a familiar place with the weekend ahead. This time he has a chance to finish the job.
Even with that opportunity in front of him, Woodland isn’t getting ahead.
“We’re a long way from that, 36 holes to go. I’m proud of myself for the way I played,” he said after Friday’s round, “Keep doing what I’ve been doing and then we’ll see where we end up.”
