fitter have taken two full months to work with this year’s generation of new drivers, and for this well-known Florida assembly house, there is a clear winner so far.
On this week’s episode of GOLF’s Fully Equipped, co-host Johnny Wunder asked the “fitter” Bryan LaRoche of BryanGolf in Fleming Island, Fla., which driver has done the best so far.
His answer was quite blunt.
“The winner? Callaway, across the board Still,” LaRoche said. “Yeah, I’d say this is the first year in a while, not just with Callaway, but with any company where legitimately every single one of their drivers is fitting players and outperforming other drivers in some way.”
LaRoche kept saying that Callaway’s Quantum Line not only does it sell well because it is the fastest. He made it clear that his equipment focuses on what will help the golfer score lower scores, whether that’s through improving speed, launch conditions or distribution.

He said Callaway’s Maxim Quantic D, Triple diamond AND Triple Diamond Max have been his top three sellers, but then mentioned how much he loves the Qauntum Max base model.
“The main model, which is their best main model, as long as I’ve been fit for the last 8, 9, 10 years,” LaRoche said. “So maybe the Epic, the first core Epic model was pretty good.”
LaRoche also mentioned how well Cobra and TaylorMade drivers are selling this year.
TaylorMade drivers are an interesting case study because with all the head weight options, it may take a little longer to unlock thembut for someone willing to give it that time, it usually ends up paying off.
