IND vs ENG, T20 World Cup 2026 Semi Final 2: Match Details
The second semi-final is scheduled to start at 19:00 IST, with the stadium gates opening at 16:00 IST. Interestingly, this will be the third consecutive T20 World Cup semi-final encounter between India and England after the 2022 and 2024 clashes. With both teams boasting explosive batting and powerful bowling attacks, the stage is perfectly set for a thrilling contest under the lights at the Wankhede.
Ticket chances for the marquee clash are slim
Unsurprisingly, tickets for this high-voltage clash were quickly snapped up. According to reports, tickets sold through official platforms – BookMyShow and ICC’s ticketing website – have already been marked as sold out. The advance ticket sale opened at 19:00 IST on February 24 and the demand was so great that most categories were booked within minutes.
However, fans who missed out may still be out of luck. A limited number of “sponsor return tickets” are likely to be released approximately 24 hours prior to the match. While there is no official confirmation yet, fans are advised to keep checking the official booking platforms for any last minute availability.
Ticket prices and seating categories
Ticket prices for the semi-finals varied widely depending on seat category and location within the stadium. Reports suggested that prices start at around ₹1,000 for general seats and go up to ₹10,000 for premium seats. With a capacity of around 33,000 spectators, Wankhede Stadium offers several seating options including general stands, lower level, middle level, Premium seats, club level and VIP hospitality sections. As with most online bookings, a convenience fee is added to the ticket price at checkout.
An important detail for those who can secure tickets is that stadium access for this World Cup will be completely digital. Fans should make sure to download the M-ticket in advance and keep it available offline. Mobile networks around the Marine Drive area are often overloaded on match days, making it difficult to access apps at the last minute.
