BELGRADE (SRB, February 11). Another European Long Jump battle and 12 meet records (one tied) highlighted the Belgrade Indoor Meet (WIT Gold) in a sold-out venue. Bozhidar Saraboykov Set a world-leading 845 MR/NR (823 – 826 – x – 829 – 845 – x) in the long jump to beat Miltiadis Tentoglou (827), Kerry McLeod (822) and Finland’s Kristian Puli (808, best since 2021). Audrey Verreau produced another big solo performance in the 800m, which was crowned with a world-leading 1:57.27 MR/NRi, with Austria’s Caroline Bredlinger a distant second (2:01.80).

Zeinab Dosso equaled her 60m EL of 7.02 MR (also 7.05 MR in heats) and beat Amy Hunt (7.09 = PB) and Geraldine Frey (7.19). Dominik Ilovszki broke Hungary’s 27-year-old 60m record of 6.52 MR, ahead of Toluvabory Akinola of Ireland (6.54 NR), Jens Fernandez of Cuba (6.55, 6.54 in heats) and Bulgaria (6.546 NR) and Bulgaria (6.54 NR).
