
Saudi Arabia has discussed a possible entry into the MotoGP calendar in the near future.
With the news that Phillip Island will not be on the MotoGP calendar for the 2027 season, there have been discussions about what circuits could be added to the series.
In the year 2027 MotoGP heads to Adelaide for the Australian Grand Prix.And it will return to the street circuit, which has caused different opinions.
However, that is not the only change to the 2027 calendar as a second Grand Prix in South America will be added to the schedule along with the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Three countries that may soon enter the MotoGP calendar
Season Gas out podcast, Gavin Emmett discusses the potential for new countries to enter the MotoGP calendar as soon as 2027.
Argentina should return to the calendar, but instead of the international Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo, which was previously used in Buenos Aires. China is another country that could be coming to the calendar at the Shanghai International Circuit.
But it has been said that Saudi Arabia may start with the new district being built in Qaydia on the calendar.
Emmett said, “There is talk of future race tracks on the calendar: China is definitely a comeback.
“Argentina seems to be doing a lot of work in Buenos Aires with the possibility of returning to Argentina, but in Buenos Aires.
“Of course, Saudi Arabia is in talks with Kediya, but I don’t think it will be ready for next year. They are building a whole city called Kediya Entertainment City, and eventually they are going to have Formula 1 there, and MotoGP has a contract to go to Saudi Arabia very soon.”

Will MotoGP keep replacing their best tracks?
The response to the latest move to Adelaide for the 2027 MotoGP season has not been overwhelming, with many figures expressing their displeasure with the decision.
