“Friday’s race has to be qualifying, and there has to be a proper qualifying session for Sunday’s race, so you have two different lineups and if something goes wrong on Friday afternoon, you don’t compromise the weekend.
“In my opinion, it will be more impressive, it will create more interest, and more results will follow at the end of the week.
“This means that the sport side works, we have great riders with a lot of technical competition and very committed manufacturers and as usual everything can improve.
“But I believe that freedom is prioritized now through advertising and the media.”
F1 currently runs its sessions on sprint weekends in the same way that Brivio explained, and focuses more on the shorter format sessions as their own stand-alone events.
