Chasing a modest goal, Abhishek Sharma turned the contest into a one-sided affair with another breathtaking display at the top of the order. After an initial golden duck to Sanju Samson, the explosive opener immediately shifted gears and launched a 14-ball half-century, the second-fastest by an Indian, to set the tone for the chase. From there, he hardly put a foot wrong, timed the ball sweetly and punished everything loose with a strike rate of 340.
Abhishek made a mockery of the target by smashing an unbeaten 68 laced with seven boundaries and five powerful sixes. captain Suryakumar Yadav He joined the party with 57* off 26 balls, scoring his maiden half-century in the series and ensuring the result was never in doubt. Abhishek dominated the finish to match as India reached 155/2 in just 10 overs, producing a dominant all-round performance and cementing India’s lead in the series with two matches still to play.
