The cross between golf and skateboarding gets busier by the day. No, I’m not talking about PING’s secret skateboard company.
Think Malbon or Metalwood. These brands do a great job of blurring the lines between streetwear and golf wear.
After all, streetwear has its roots in skateboarding culture. It only makes sense that adidas, which has street cred in both sports, would dip its toes into the streetwear game as well.
Introducing cleverly named the Rolling Links Collection. The name refers to skateboarding (rolling wheels and stringing tricks together) and golf. The collection combines streetwear style with high performance golf apparel for something that can easily be worn on the course or at the rink.

“The golf fashion landscape today is being influenced by multiple areas across sport, culture and fashion,” said Dylan Moore, Creative Director of adidas Golf. “Like golf, skateboarding is a sport where the style is modest, individual and with little attitude. We saw an opportunity to bring some of that design direction from our skateboarding counterparts to the brand to create something truly unique for the course and continue to push golf fashion in a new way.”
Made with modern performance materials suitable for golf, the pieces of clothing are slightly oversized and baggy, a testament to skate culture. The collection features a host of apparel and two pairs of golf shoes, including the iconic adidas Superstar.
My favorite touch? Incorporating the adidas Trefoil logo. While usually reserved for adidas’ skate line, this motif is seen throughout the collection.
