Malbon’s new holiday line just sat down and Malbon went full tilt into what they do best: go big or go home. Because of the holiday season, they tend to Christmas colors and patterns: white, green, red, Fair Isle and, of course, tartan. it MEETING it’s totally sick and makes a perfect gift opportunity for a loved one or yourself. Like almost everything Malbon makes, these pieces are great because they are unique and can easily be worn to a Christmas party, while relaxing at home or just about anywhere else. Here are some of my favorites from their holiday lineup.
Fesque Preston Hoodie

I’m of the generation of Gap hoodies that are cute and I couldn’t be happier that they are back in style, but that other brands have now captured the same essence and are just as, if not more, cute. of Malbon Fesque Preston Hoodie it combines three things I love: hunter green, the look of the classic Gap hoodie, and tartan (I’m a stickler for anything related to Scottish culture). This hoodie is the definition of versatile, and I actually know I’d wear this with a pair of chinos, and yes, a button-down shirt (!!!). You can and should dress this thing up to the nines this holiday season.
Acme Holiday Mug

I’ve been called “preppy” buy several staff members here at MyGolfSpy, and maybe they’re right. That being said, while I’m not the biggest fan of NYC, one of my favorite spots in the city is Ralph’s Coffee (I’ll let you be the judge of whether I’m prepared or not). it cup and saucer set reallyand I mean it really reminds me of Ralph’s in the best possible way. This is also perfect cup of hot chocolate. Imagine yourself sitting by the fire with this mug filled with qUALITY hot chocolate and giant dollop of whipped cream… Can’t get much better.
Mistleflow Dad Hat

It’s funny, this is getting a little revealing, but there’s a men’s clothing store on the East 44th called J. Pressand I started shopping there in college. One of their classic pieces is “Shaggy Dog” sweater.— a chunky Shetland wool sweater that keeps you warm on the absolute coldest days. It’s an iconic piece, worn by Cary Grant and JFK. A couple of years ago, they released a Shaggy Dog hat, and I complained that they never released it in green. Alas, we find the longing of years corrected. of Malbon Mistleflow’s Father’s Hat it’s a wool baseball cap that almost looks like velvet and is wonderfully Shaggy Dog. Wear it to trim your tree, for a night on the town, anywhere, and you’ll look totally fresh, clean, and Christmassy. Who knows, you might even catch a kiss.
Douglas Fair Isle Socks

If you don’t know much about Fair Isle, it’s time you did. You’ve inevitably seen the pattern before, especially at Christmas time, but Fair Isle isn’t just a pattern, it’s also a place. Located off the mainland of Scotland in the Shetland Islands, Fair Isle is both an island and a knitting technique that practically gives an island its entire identity. If you can’t tell, I’m a huge fan of Fair Isle, and while Douglas Fair Isle Socks not woven in the Shetland Islands, they allow you to capture the essence of a Fair Isle jumper without being too loud. These speak volumes and let the layers of your outfit do the talking.
Bennett Plaid Sweater

For me, it’s hard to think of Christmas without thinking of Nat King Cole, who, in my opinion, is the very voice of the holiday season. of Malbon Bennet Cardigan it’s a throwback to the 1960s, and that’s a good thing because it blends modernity with retro style in a tasteful way. While they’re not that close, this is absolutely something I could see Nate wearing, and for whatever reason, it reminds me of his album cover for “The Christmas Song.” Throw one green mock collar collar below that, and you’re channeling Jason Day, Tiger Woods, and Nat King Cole all at once (bet you didn’t have that combo on your bingo card).
