Perth recorded a comprehensive 30-run victory over Melbourne Renegades in 33 matches Wbl | 11 Riding on a highly impressive performance from captain Sophie Devin at the WACA on Tuesday.
Perth Scorchers Batting Unit Posts Massive Total
Sent to bat after the Renegades were shaken up Azbars issued an order ordering 184/5. Katie Mack was 13 off 13, while Beth Mooney anchored 21 from the other end, helping the 5-man power play reach 43.
The talking knock came from Sophie Devine, who smashed 40 off just 28 balls, hitting two fours and three sixes. Partnering with Maddy Darke (36 Off 32 Off), Devine added a vital 69-run stand for a third-wicket haul.
In the last overs, juniors Freya Kemp (28 off 13) and Paige Scholfield (9 not out) applied the finishing touches with Alana King off 8 balls.
