The winners of these competitions will go through to the knockout stage, where the winner of the Welsh tie is guaranteed a home final.
The Republic of Ireland will travel to the Czech Republic and could win a decider at home against either Denmark or North Macedonia.
Road structure and match schedule
All semi-finals are scheduled for March 26 and the finals on March 31.
Each match will be decided in a single match, without a return.
Sixteen nations continue to fight for four tickets to the tournament hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
How the teams were assigned
During the event in Switzerland, the first seeds of the first pot faced each other at home against the opponents of the fourth.
The teams from the second pot were drawn to host those placed in group three.
Each path also established who could host the final round match.
Qualification routes
Twelve nations entered the play-offs by finishing second in their respective World Cup qualifying groups.
A further four teams, including Northern Ireland, earned their place by topping their Nations League sections last year.
The main draw for the competition, featuring England and Scotland, is scheduled for December 5 in Washington DC.
