Keyshawn Davis wants Albright on Teofimo-Shakur Undercard

Keyshawn Davis said on social media today “in a perfect world,” he would fight Nahir Albright on January 31, 2026 in New York in a rematch on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson.

Why He Continues to Raise Albright

It’s unclear what bothers Keyshawn more – Albright (17-2, 7 KOs) coming close to him in their fight on October 14, 2023, or his win over his brother, Kelvin Davis, last summer. Looks like Keyshawn is still stewing about what Albright had done to him, probably beating him, and when his older brother, Kelvin, found out. Albright staggered Keyshawn in the eighth and beat him all night.

Turki’s card is not a charity slot

The odds of Keyshawn facing Albright on the undercard of the Lopez vs. Card Stevenson will fight is slim as Top Rank will not be involved. Turki Alalshikh could of course make it happen, but why would he for such an insignificant fight? To be a value addition to the Teofimo-Shakur card, Keyshawn fed to the sharks by fighting one of the top 140-pounders in a sink-or-swim type fight.

If Turki is going to use the top-ranked Keyshawn for that card, he’ll want him to fight someone notable, like Subriel Matias, Gary Antuanne Russell, or Ernesto Mercado. These are guys who can beat Keyshawn, especially with a nearly one year layoff. Top Rank probably won’t give Keyshawn the green light.

They were already badly burned with heavyweight contender Jared Anderson knocked out in five rounds by Martin Bakole on Turki’s Riyadh Season card a year ago on August 3, 2024 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

Keyshawn beat Albright by a 10-round majority decision in a fight that many fans felt should have gone the other way. The fight was later changed to a no contest due to Keyshawn testing positive for marijuana. Nation Vegas had Albright win 10 rounds to 0. He made Keyshawn look really bad in that fight, much like how Cuban Andy Cruz did in the amateurs.

Good, beating Kelvin Davis by a 10-round majority decision earlier this year on June 7, 2025 in their hometown of Norfolk, Virginia.

Albright dominated Kelvin in that fight, winning by scores of 97-93, 95-95 and 96-94. After that, Keyshawn (26) got into an altercation with Nahir backstage. Albright claimed Keyshawn headbutted him.

Keyshawn hasn’t fought since being stripped of his WBO lightweight title, coming in 4.3 pounds overweight for his June 7, 2025 fight against Edwin De Los Santos in Norfolk, Virginia.
