Two hundred lucky fans were able to witness an interview with Sifan Hassan, sixth in the TCS NYC Marathon, and Eliud Kipchoge, seventeenth in the men’s elite race, on Sunday, November 3, 2025.
Eliud Kipchoge now he has even run in major World Marathon Majors (Tokyo, Boston, London, Sydney, Berlin, Chicago and New York) and has won 11 World Marathons and two Olympic Marathons. Eliud announced yesterday that he will run seven marathons in the next two years on seven continents for his foundation and programs. In a presser led by Coach Bennett, a beloved coach in the NIKE Running Club program, Eliud told the assembled media and fans that he is ready for this next phase of his career. A marathon zen warrior (so named by Paula Radcliffe, former marathon world record holder, 2:15:25, 2003), Eliud Kipchoge has had a long career spanning cross-country, track and field, and the marathon. Eliud Kipchoge is the world’s most famous male marathon runner. Eliud won his first medal over 5000m at Paris 2023. Four Olympic medals, bronze in Athens 2004, silver in Beijing 2008, both in the 5000m. In the marathon, Eliud won gold in Rio 2016, gold in Tokyo 2021 and did not finish in Paris 2024. I was there for his first World Champs win in 2003, his first Olympic gold in the marathon in Rio 2016 and now his last World Marathon Majors. Eliud Kipchoge won his first WMM marathon in 2014.

Sifan Hasan becomes one of the most famous female marathoners. “I like the craziness,” a smiling Hassan told Coach B, aka Coach Bennett, during the 25-minute interview. Sifan Hasan entered the running scene in 2013, right after he was granted Dutch citizenship. He has represented the Netherlands throughout his career. He missed the 2013 World Championships, but Sifan did win the European Athletics Cross Country U23 division in one of his first races as a Dutch national. Sifan helped his Dutch team to a bronze medal in cross country.

At the 2014 European Athletics Outdoor Championships, Sifan Hasan won gold in the 1500 meters. In 2015, Sifan won bronze in 1500 meters. In 2017, Sifan won bronze in the 5000m race in London. In 2019, Sifan pulled off a blistering 1500m and 10,000m doubles, winning both. Six Olympic medals (three golds, marathon, 10,000m and 5,000m and three bronze medals, 1,500m, 5,000m and 10,000m) from Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024. and Chicago 2023: In New York, Sifan Hasan finished sixth in the New York Marathon.
