The second semi-final between India and Australia on October 30 at the Dr Dy Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai promises to be a Blockbuster. India will benefit from home conditions and passionate home support, but Lanning expects his former side to rise to the occasion.

Lanning highlighted that India, led by a confident batting line-up, will be a formidable opponent, especially with the players Smriti mandhanaHarmanpreet Kaurand Deepti Sharma in top form. However, Australia’s experience and adaptability will make the difference in moments of crisis.

“I think Australia have incredible depth. They’ve shown throughout the tournament that they don’t rely on one or two players. Even if they lose some early wickets, there’s some power down low that can get them out of different situations.” Lanning added.
