Roach look past Pitbull
Roach (25-1-2, 10 COs) is confident that he will overcome against Cruz (28-3-1, 18 COs) in their capital letter in the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Lamont tweeted over the 5’4 `Cruz on Wednesday and looked like a legitimate 140 pound rather than a fighter holding the WBA Super Featherweight title. Roach moves from 135 from his last battle against Gervonta Davis on March 1.
Still haunt with tank
“More people know me because I fought a tank. But more people know me because of what I did, not because they say, “Look at him. “It’s because I’m on that platform and I have the skills to show what I can do. mediaand the past over his last battle against Gervonta Davis.
Roach sounds like a Chronically bitter person At Wednesday’s kick -off conference, he spoke to his last battle with Tank Davis on December 6 instead of focusing on his match in front of him against ‘Pitbull’ Cruz.
The way Roach ranged over the tank fight with a distant look in his eyes looked like someone with post-traumatic bitterness disorder (Pted). They just can’t release, but still try to make sense of what happened to them. Roach looks stuck in that one event.
Lamont spent three or four minutes over Gervonta rather than Cruz. I watched the fight again tonight to see why he was so tormented about the result.
After watching the fight again, I believe Tank Davis was the winner. He went through the cleaner, louder shots throughout the way. Roach was constantly walking forward, occasionally pushing with no power behind them, and then used the Shakur-Esque-Tri-stairway when he was attacked. There was nothing in Roach’s performance for him to be worked like that. The only thing he had for him was his size. After rehydrating, he had the great advantage over Davis.
Cruz seen as stepping stone
Roach is treating his fight with Cruz as if the win is already in the bag, and he is already planning his next game.
Roach’s next move
“If he does, I want to fight him at 140. I think it’s a fight that takes place at 135, ‘says Roach about the will of Shakur Stevenson wants to fight after his attack against Theofimo Lopez. ‘It all depends on what is available after winning this battle (Cruz).
Shakur has already said he is interested in fighting Roach after his title against WBO Light Welterweight champion Theofimo Lopez in early 2026.
Roach is not arranged at 135, so Stevenson looks like Stevenson will continue to freeze his WBC lightweight title. However, this is understandable, because Shakur’s no. 1 -contender for his WBC belt is Andy Cruz, and he is a man who can beat him and Roach. He is not fighting like Shakur and Roach do.
