Pebble Beach, Calif. – So now there is a new shoulder to root for or against: Luke Poulter, son Ian. He went to high school in Orlando, Circle Christian, and now attends the University of Florida. But he was born in England and he is playing in Pedestrian cuphere in CypressFor GB & I. His father played in seven cups Ryder, but never a Walker cup. He returned to the 20 – amateur golf was never his thing.
Luke is tall and thin, like his father, but he does not have his father’s glowing dresses (of course, he wore team duds this week). The boy also has a calm, even polite behavior, nothing like his father’s personality in his eyes. But they are very close, and Ian has been around this week, offering tips for the 10 GB & I. players in their accents and tones, the boy sounds like the father and father like the boy.
“Funny funny: if I’m with my friends at school and my parents call me, my emphasis gets stronger, it just happens,” Luke Poulter said on Friday afternoon. He is 21 years old and a young man at UF, planning to stay through graduation and then return in favor. He has lived in SH.BA for 17 years, but has often spent wine in England. In March this year, he won his first NCAA tour; In June, all that stood between him and the qualification to see his first US was a sudden death play off. (He lost.)

Luke is wholesale in educational science. He was a student of Roll Honor this semester. He runs a Mercedes on the campus and at home on weekends. His father was folding tricks and taught as a pro -club club at the same age. What a difference does a generation make. His father is a serious guy of high -power cars. Luke does not remember his father, now 49, as a star of Ryder Cup but he knows the legend and he has seen pronounced wrappings. Does he see what we see, Ian Poulter with his eyes practically falling his head?
“One hundred percent,” Luke said. “So he played, this is showing his passion, everything that goes out.”

The boy has his mother’s eyes, deeply stuck. Luke Poulter is the son of Ian Poulter, and Katie Poulter too.
