Hello friends, and welcome to this Rogers report publication! From participating in the pro-am pairing celebration to receiving a custom-made hat to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the LPGA to follow Megan Khang Hometown Favorite at TPC Boston, I have had an extraordinary week covering Fm championship.
This tour is really one by one, and it was the perfect way to mark the end (unofficial) summer here in New England. To the amazement of absolutely no one, had a small part of the excellent moments of the press conference throughout the week, which ended with Miranda Wang winning her first LPGA title.
Rose Zhang lost the FM championship – but found something she would miss
Seduce
World no. 1 Jeeno Thitikul continues to show her funny personality, and a handful of other players weighed important topics. Let’s get it, will we be?
Megha Ganne in Women’s Golf
Exclusion of Women’s FM Sponsor and FM Championship Sponsor Megha Ganne She was asked what it means for her to know that so many young girls are getting golf nowadays, and her response hit the nail on her head.
“I think golf has been so underestimated for so long, especially women’s golf, and girls playing in high school, high school, he opens a lot of doors for you later no matter what you follow in.
Here’s what Ganne had to say when asked what advice she would give to young girls who just started in the game:
“Do golf whatever you want to be. If you want to play at the top level, go to follow it. If you don’t, if you want it to be a way to put yourself there social to meet different people you wouldn’t know otherwise, do it. If you want to go to different courses, do in different spots, do to play or play or play.
Very few of us will ever be professional players, but playing and getting to know golf can get women far away. I met a new golf player who was working as a new golf reporter at Fm championship This week, and she said her goal is to play professional golf or cover professional golf to live. As Ganne said, you can really use golf to “do whatever you want”.
Megan khang in fm
The local ambassador and FM of Massachusetts Megan Khang were asked about the player’s experience in the FM Championship earlier this week. Here’s what she had to say:
“You know, when FM was in the works of doing this event, they asked me a few questions about what makes a tour of standing in front of the players. I gave them a very short list. I thought I said it was great if they could probably control a couple of boxes, if it is accommodation, a deduction in accommodation, car rentals.
“They went up and on. They took everything I gave and said, done; We will do it all. I jumped too far from this because they wanted – again, they want this tournament to be a match in the schedule where girls don’t want to lose it, and I think they are doing a fantastic job.
“They have added to a welcome dinner at the hotel for girls for those who play Times late on Thursday or Friday. Last year was a dinner, and this year they are two nights of dinner. I went to dinner last year and they brought out a menu. I think the mini lobster rolls, some steaks, a wonderful dessert. So it goes from them not only by giving a discount to hotels, but they are absolutely giving a hotel room compliments. I was told they were lending $ 250 to laundry as well. The top 30 girls will ride in some pretty nice BMW this week.
“Everything they are doing by only quotation/little little things to make the bag as big as it is in the second year. They raised the bag the first year without even seeing us. It is a real honor to be an Ambassador of FM and makes me very happy to be part of their team. “
LPGA Craig Kessler commissioner and other players on the field echo Khang’s statements all week. The FM championship goes up and further for his players, who does not go unnoticed. Each everything they do makes a big difference for women in the field and lets them want to return year after year.
Jeeno Thitikul thinking it’s not that good in golf
There is no golf player whose press conferences like to sit more than World no. 1 Jeeno Thitikul’s. The 22-year-old does not take herself very seriously (outside the ropes, anyway) and always offers a fun perspective on her game when she enters to talk to the media. This week at the FM championship was no exception.
Here’s what Thitikul said to be the world no. 1, and if it feels different with that title.
“I think I’m the same person. Just with number, golf, ranking, statistics, they just build it, but I think I just told the media boy walking with me today, as I don’t think about winning a tour, just a LPGA tour would be enough for me.
If the world No.1 thinks she is not so good in golf, there is little hope for the rest of us. And if you haven’t seen some of the other moments of the Thiticuli press conference from last year, check out this clip.
