Where are the largest gaps
The short points are where you will see the biggest difference between top and low players. While 0-3 feet are showing the largest divider in the overall performance is in the range of 3- to 6 feet.

For the context, PGA Tour players do around 87 percent from 3-5 meters. Even scratched amateurs still have room to improve here. The 3- to 6-foot range is where you will see many frugal strokes, and when these cannot be transformed, it has a major impact on the results card.
Why do long fines don’t single out players so much
From 18 meters on, the percentages made between low and high disabilities are flattened. In most cases, it is only a change of 6 to 8 percent. While it may sound like good news for the highest handicaps, it is a little fraudulent.
The true difference appears in the placement of the delay and the three -putt avoidance:
- Gear: 1.85 for scratches against 2.18 for 25 handicaps
- Percentage: 3 percent for scratches against 13 for 25 handicaps
- Number of 3-Fules for Round: 0.8 per scratch against 5.8 for 25 handicaps.
The best players do not necessarily make more fines long, but they are leaving them closer than the highest handicaps. The result is less with three strokes.

How to Practice 3-6 feet

- Put the ball or ball markers in a circle around the hole at four distances: 3, 4, 5 and 6 meters.
- Start at the 3 -foot station and hit a blow from each place in the circle.
- Switch to 4 feet and repeat the process. Continue to 5 feet and then 6.
- If you miss you, start from the beginning or keep a result to follow your improvement over time.
Final thoughts
