Moses Itauma was bent out of form, irritated with his opponent, Dillian Whyte coach James ‘Buddy’ McGirt, and said he did not study him before Saturday’s Heigh Event Heavyweight collision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Itauma (12-0, 10 COs) suggests that the former World Champion of two divisions McGirt has a Cavaler attitude about the need to study his fighting style to prepare Whyte (31-3, 24 COs) because he is not the one in the ring that makes the punch.
Itauma’s uncomplicated game
Perhaps the true reason Buddy McGirt did not bother to study the fighting style of Moses Itauma, that it is an uncomplicated one that is simple to understand. Other than how the highly technical McGirt fought during his career, itauma is a Basic Pot Shot Fighter using the three foot step back that employs defensive fighters such as Shakur Stevenson and Richardson Hitchins.
Buddy McGirt was a genius in the ring during his career, and always changed his style to fit his opponent. He is apparently seen enough of Itauma’s battles to know that he has a fundamental style and is one -dimensionaland his strength, hand speed, and the poor opposition at the lower level, which has driven his opponents as his opponents in the ring.

There is little to no variation in Itauma’s game. He does the same thing every time, and it works because of the poor opposition he fought at professional and amateur levels. He does not have to learn different things, because his management has placed him against the higher fighters for whatever reason. As such, you can say that Itauma is another of the manufactured fighters we see today is marketed to look like gold and match scrubs.
