Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed this week that Callum Smith is negotiating against David Morrell on November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Ring IV event. Hearn is in conversation with PBC and Turki Alalshikh to have the Morrell-Smith fight done. He is optimistic to make the battle do ‘Soon.’
Smith vs. Morrell negotiations
Hearn says he would have preferred Callum Smith (31-2, 22 COs) to fight one of the light heavyweight world champions, rather than defending his WBO-Tuss-entitled title of 175 pounds against Morrell (12-1, 9 COs).
